Ann Li beat Lilli Tagger 6-4 3-6 7-6 in the pick of the Osaka quarter-finals. Li is ranked No. 25 and Tagger No. 57. Li took the opening set, Tagger answered in the second, and the third finished 7-6.

Tagger hit 9 aces to Li’s 8, so the loser led the one stat that is easy to notice. Each player converted 1 break point, Li from 4 chances and Tagger from 2. Tennis can be like that.
